Taking a fish that has spent who-knows-how-long in a cup of water barely big enough for it to turn around home with you to a heated, filtered and planted tank and watching it explore its new surroundings is one of the most beautiful and self-satisfying things I’ve ever witnessed and I don’t understand why anyone would be content to keep it in a half-gallon bowl when it can be so much MORE than that.
